School Principal - Mari Jo Mulligan
Mari Jo oversees the instructional staff and curriculum. Being a principal at Havasuonline perfectly blends her passions for learning and technology. She has been at the Lake Havasu Unified School District since 2002 working at the middle school and high school levels as teacher, counselor, assistant principal and administrator. Mari Jo sees Havasuonline as a great school because in addition to utilizing a new way to learn, it stretches the limits of high school learning to new subjects. It also offers alternative learning methods to address the diverse learning needs of student. She enjoys sailing with her husband, scuba-diving, running, and just about anything that involves the outdoors.
Operations Manager - Dorothea Gildea
Dodie, as she likes to be called, is the lead contact person responsible for many of the non-teaching parts of Havasuonline such as student and parent support. She offers a unique blend of experience with a background in education, business and technology holding two Master's Degrees; one in Career and Technical Education, and another in Business. Dodie has served as both a teacher and administrator in various educational institutions, including positions as program coordinator for Northern Arizona University's distance education program as well as a teacher for Lake Havasu High School and the University of Phoenix. She also worked in various management positions in the business sector. Dodie believes we are all lifelong learners and enjoys spending time with her husband, playing with her dogs, boating, running and writing.
School Counselor - Sherry Dailey
Sherry can help students with issues ranging from transcript evaluation, course selection and graduation credit checks. She is interested in helping students get involved in career exploration and planning for college. With over 34 years combined experience as an English teacher (secondary) and high school guidance counselor, Sherry is excited about the unique opportunities that Havasuonline offers students. She enjoys tutoring non-English-speaking adults, reading with her book club, writing short stories, cooking, practicing digital photography and taking daily walks along Lake Havasu. Sherry has a 26-year-old daughter and a 29-year-old-son. "We are all Arizona State University graduates and big Sun Devil fans!" says Sherry.
Student Service Specialist - Lindsay Smith
Lindsay is an excellent resource for helping students and parents get off to a great start at Havasuonline. She assists in enrollment, orientations, and just about any other concerns as they arise. Lindsay has been a part of the Havasuonline team since June of 2007. She believes that the flexibility of the program makes Havasuonline a great option for students. When she's not helping Havasuonline families, you may find her SCUBA diving, watching movies, or just hanging out with friends.
Instructional Specialist - Ernie Tripp
Ernie is the lead person in charge of the teaching component of Havasuonline. He provides teacher support and training and is passionate about helping high school students excel at their own paces with the high-quality education offered by Havasuonline. He has over three decades of background in education and technology and a Masters in Education from the University of Utah. He has been with the Lake Havasu Unified School District since 2002.
